Facebook Bootcamp Scholarships

Grand Circus is excited to announce the Facebook Bootcamp for the third year in a row! Through the generosity of Facebook, we will be offering 25 scholarships between our 2019 Detroit June Java and Grand Rapids July C# .NET After-Hours coding bootcamps.

Scholarships will be awarded to Michigan residents who qualify.

What will I learn?

We’ve partnered with Facebook to offer scholarships in both Detroit and Grand Rapids. Our scholarships will be applicable to the Detroit June Java bootcamp and Grand Rapids  C# .NET After-Hours coding bootcamps.



Grand Rapids

Before you start the bootcamp classroom sessions, you’ll be required to complete and pass the unit 1: at-home pre-work. Unit 1 provides the foundation for the bootcamp lessons and covers fundamentals that all successful developers need to know.

Once you start classroom sessions, you’ll be on-site at Grand Circus either in Detroit or Grand Rapids.


  • Applicants must follow the typical coding bootcamp process. More information can be found on the specific bootcamp page
  • Must be a Michigan resident
  • Must be over 18 years old
  • Must be available for the full length of the bootcamp
  • Applicant must:
    • Have an annual individual income of $50K or less
    • Consider themselves unemployed or underemployed

Application Process

Applications for are now open for 2019 Facebook Scholarships.

Interested students must apply to the Detroit June Java bootcamp or Grand Rapids July C# .NET After-Hours coding bootcamp and qualify based on income requirements. Within the application, you will be asked your income level. If you quality for the Facebook scholarship, two additional questions will populate on the application to enter your application into the scholarship qualifying process.

Applications for this program will be highly competitive. Our team will be interviewing candidates on a rolling basis, starting with an application and then an in-person interview. Candidates who move past the in-person interview will receive the Unit 1: at-home work which they must pass. Incoming students will have two weeks to complete Unit 1. Each step of the application process is required, and our team will notify each candidate if they have made it to the next round on a rolling basis.

Candidates will be required to put down a non-refundable $800 deposit in order to receive Unit 1. This will be refunded upon successful graduation from bootcamp.
