Looking to transition to a career in tech? Let us help you on your journey!
Grand Circus has partnered with the Bloomfield Township Public Library to bring you these FREE workshops.
There are now over one million open computer-programming jobs. Here at Grand Circus, we are aiming to help fill those positions, one coder at a time.
We believe anyone can become a developer. Our core values reinforce the belief that
THE TECH INDUSTRY SHOULD REFLECT THE DIVERSITY OF OUR COMMUNITY
We live in a diverse community. Why shouldn’t we work and learn in one too?
This FREE Intro to Coding Workshop is open to everyone and is designed for those who are curious about coding, but who have very little or no coding experience. Never seen a line of code before? No problem! Basic computer knowledge is required for the best workshop experience.
This critical first step towards your new career will provide you with basic programming terminology – like syntax (trust us, it’s an important one!) and give you the opportunity to practice basic programming ideas. You will leave with a finished product to show off to your friends and family – that’s pretty cool.
Our workshops are taught by Grand Circus alumni who are currently working in tech. They are a wealth of knowledge about all things Grand Circus and the tech community – and they love to talk about both! Once you complete this workshop, you will have a solid understanding of next steps to become a developer through attending a Grand Circus Bootcamp.
What do you need for this class?
- A laptop with Google Chrome downloaded on it
- A willingness to learn something new
If you do not have a laptop, please fill out this form 48 hours before the workshop.
