Beginning with Serverless programming is a daunting task. We are here to help. As development and the cloud become further and further intertwined, this class sets you up to advance your career!
In this fast-paced workshop we start with the basics of what the Cloud is, then dive deeper into FaaS (Functions as a Service), comparing IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), onPrem strategies and patterns. While learning the larger concepts at work we use real world examples and modern architecture patterns combined with FaaS to solve business problems and deploy business ready solutions into the Cloud using Azure and C#.
Who should attend this workshop?
Those currently employed as developers or recent bootcamp graduates who are excited about the future of Serverless programming.
Are there any prior knowledge/skills required?
- General c# coding and IDE experience
- Basic knowledge of http1 protocol

Getting to class:
Grand Circus is in The Broderick Tower, located at 1570 Woodward Ave – please use the Woodward entrance (not the entrance off of Witherell) – you will see a set of gold doors with a Grand Circus sign in the window. From the lobby, take the elevator up to the 3rd floor, check in at the front desk and we’ll direct you to your classroom.

Cory Koehler is an experienced Agile consultant with a focus on bringing clients into the cloud with Domain Driven Design and micro service solutions. Cory seeks to stay on the bleeding edge of tech and is an early adopter of new technologies that can give businesses the edge over their competition. Cory’s favorite stack is .NET Core utilizing Azure serverless programming framework.
